Diamond-studded Saucepan From German Company Fissler Showcased at Millionaire Fair in Moscow, Russia
What can you expect at a Millionaire Fair? A lot of diamonds even on kitchen ware. At this year’s Millionaire Fair in Moscow, Russia, one of the highlights was a diamond-studded saucepan, which was valued at whopping 150,000 Euros (about $210,500). Its extraordinary look made it unique and was displayed in a thick glass case illuminated with special lighting. Decorated with 18-carat gold, the saucepan has its handle and lid studded with 270 diamonds.
Fissler, the famous cookware brand from Germany has created this one off saucepan. The company’s spokesperson and Brand Manager Natalya Oreshkina explained that the vessel is not meant for cooking but for serving the food in a beautiful and luxurious way. The price of the pan is comparable with a Porsche Cayenne SUV, but a Porsche Cayenne turns into a pile of metal once it leaves the showroom. This is an investment.
The diamond pot will come complete with a high-class jewelry box made of root wood. The diamond-studded saucepan is probably the most precious pot in the world, and they have already applied for inclusion in the book of Guinness World Records though one must admit it has taken the easy option of using diamonds to make it world’s most expensive.

O Kitchen: The Most Absurdly Designed Kitchen Gadget - - Comes With a Kitchen Inside With a Sink, Microwave, Cooking Stand
If you were wondering which could be the most absurdly designed kitchen gadget is, the O Kitchen could actually fit the bill. It is a spherical ball that when unfolded comes with a kitchen inside with a sink, microwave, cooking stand and all that jazz included. So, why is it badly designed?
Well, the O Kitchen measures 7 feet even when folded and can hardly be brought inside a room. Moreover, it seems to occupy more space than save. There is also no space for the person who cooks to stand comfortably. Perhaps, the portable kitchen would waste and occupy more space than a simple microwave oven or a kitchen sink. It was designed by a Brazilian team and it has received rave reviews in that country.
However, it really is not something that you would want to try if you don’t have space. Instead, you could just keep the microwave in a corner, and then cook like you never cooked before. Sometimes, in the name of saving space, you actually end up wasting a lot of it. I would say, do not even try getting this if it ever reaches the market.

Cooktop for Environment Designed By Columbian Designer Alejandro Sanchez - - A Unique and Eco-friendly Stovetop That Reduces Energy Consumption
Columbian designer Alejandro Sanchez has created the Cooktop for Environment, a unique, eco-friendly stovetop that reduces energy consumption and helps prevent cooking-related accidents.
Each of the burners – three gas and one electric – have internal sensors that can detect the temperature of the pots on on this amazing stove. The body and burners are finished in white glass-ceramic alloy, which helps resist passing high temperatures to users, and the support arms are polished steel. The cooktop incorporates a digital display for precise control of all components, including presetting the cook time. When not in use, it automatically switches the gas valve off.
Adding to the stove’s allure, the body is recyclable and hygienic. The stove is also shockproof, adding to its versatility. Apparently it’s still in concept phase, so there’s no word yet how much it will cost, but it sure sounds like a winner!
The sustainable cooktop can also detect the temperature of the pots on top of the burner, thanks to the sensors and mechanism inside of the arms of each burner. When not in use, the cooktop closes the valve to control the gas-flow, thus avoiding energy wastage as well as accidents.
