Cooktop for Environment Designed By Columbian Designer Alejandro Sanchez - - A Unique and Eco-friendly Stovetop That Reduces Energy Consumption

Columbian designer Alejandro Sanchez has created the Cooktop for Environment, a unique, eco-friendly stovetop that reduces energy consumption and helps prevent cooking-related accidents.

Each of the burners – three gas and one electric – have internal sensors that can detect the temperature of the pots on on this amazing stove. The body and burners are finished in white glass-ceramic alloy, which helps resist passing high temperatures to users, and the support arms are polished steel. The cooktop incorporates a digital display for precise control of all components, including presetting the cook time. When not in use, it automatically switches the gas valve off.

Adding to the stove’s allure, the body is recyclable and hygienic. The stove is also shockproof, adding to its versatility. Apparently it’s still in concept phase, so there’s no word yet how much it will cost, but it sure sounds like a winner!

The sustainable cooktop can also detect the temperature of the pots on top of the burner, thanks to the sensors and mechanism inside of the arms of each burner. When not in use, the cooktop closes the valve to control the gas-flow, thus avoiding energy wastage as well as accidents.
