Dynamic Eye Sunglasses: Created by Chris Mullin - - Features a LCD Display to Selectively Darken the Area in Your Field of View

How much you pay for your sunglasses looking in the direction of the sun always causes problems with extra glare, until now? A new development in sunglasses created by Chris Mullin called the Dynamic Eye Sunglasses uses a LCD display to selectively darken the area in your field of view where there’s a glare. As in the image below.

The image on the bottom left shows what you would see without the new technology and the bottom image on the right show how the new LCD sunglasses can dramatically enhance the visual effect.

The changes all happen automatically and faster than the blink of an eye, and even moving your head will not affect your view as the glasses react to the new sun position and adjust relative to it.

Chris is hoping to get the project rolling and started a Kickstarter hoping to raise $20,000 by the middle of January to proceed with development.

You can view more information and videos of the new sunglasses in action at the Dynamic Eye website.

You are free to walk down any back alley without harm with these on, as anyone who has spikes protruding from their face must be truly insane. Although you may not be able to see too clearly, at least no one will try taking your wallet.

Disposable Sunglasses - - Printed Onto Sellotape Created by Azumi and David

I guess these disposable sunglasses make sense, on some level, somewhere. They’re printed onto sellotape and you just tear off the style you want and stick them onto your face. I’m a bit late though, they’re so totally last season darling.

Since first coming together in 1995, Azumi and David have progressed through a variety of creative projects – initially with limited edition artist’s books and performance art, moving gradually on to fashion and accessory associated ‘things to wear’.

Oval-Shaped Sunglasses From Emilio Pucci - - A Blend of Fashion, Glamour and Trend!

One never really did mind splurging on a fashionable pair of sunglasses, for instance, like the ones designed by none other than Emilio Pucci. These chic shades that we talk about are oval shaped and have gorgeous crystal embellishments all over that will make you sparkle at every high class do that you go to.

Do not fret, we will not call you vain but very up and coming with the latest trends instead when you opt for these. The stunning crystal pavé detail on the sunglasses make them worthy of being a part of most fashionable looks that you would want to don. The smoke lenses that the goggles have graduated into, have a designer signature on each arm.

Sheer glamour makes this pair so very stunning. They measure (approximately so) 16.5 cm/ 6.5 inches horizontally and 7.5 cm/ 3 inches vertically. Those interested can get these for $860. Again, these oval-crystal studded sun shades are not governed by any season too. Wear them at a night club or a fashionable luncheon, these are ready to go!

EYE-WRITER GLASSES BY TONY QUAN - - SICKNESS MADE HIM TO CREATE A PIECE OF ART

I once heard a story about a bedridden artist that couldn’t stand and paint, so he took a paintbrush, put it on a long stick, and preceded to paint on the ceiling.

It would appear that LA graffiti artist Tony Quan has also undergone some sickness and is unable to perform his talents. In 2003, Quan was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), but his friends have helped him out.

As you can see from the crude diagram, the eyewriter glasses are connected to the CPU of a laptop. All the artist has to do is move his eyes, and the dual projectors create an image like a Paint program.

In all honesty, I never really understood Graffiti art. Sadly, I was brought up to associate graffiti with vandalism. Yet I was in downtown Seattle the other day and realized that many see graffiti as a very honest form of expression.

I suppose that this is just the beginning of the use of the eyewriter for other cases of ALS, or other debilitating diseases. I would like to try it out, simply because I like the idea of drawing with my eyes. It sort of reminds me of those Air Mouse that don’t require a mousepad, but the user just waves it in the air.

These Max Event Spectacles are rather mysterious. We’re trying to work out how a pair of 2x magnification glasses can possibly make you feel more engrossed in the game on pitch. But then again, our idea of a sporting day out is a trip to the fridge, so we’d probably better shut up. £79.95.

These innovative specs offer telescopic 2.1X magnification to transform your enjoyment of live events, and even turn ordinary TV viewing into a cinematic experience. BRAD PITT -- MR. BLACK & WHITE

This past week has been a big one for Brad Pitt (then again, when isn't it a good week to be Brad Pitt?) with the recent Hollywood premiere of his latest film, Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds. Decked out in head-to-toe black, save for a pair of gold-rimmed aviators and some goatee scruff, he looked sharp as always and accessorized flawlessly with leather-clad Angelina Jolie on his arm for nearly the entire night. Despite all the excitement, he wasn't too busy to lend support to pals Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams at the NYC premiere of The Time Traveler's Wife just two days later -- only this time dressed in head-to-toe white... with a similar pair of aviators and the same scruffy facial hair. Uh, Brad?

What's with the monochromatic menswear? While we understand the desire to match and coordinate, that doesn't mean you need to wear all the same color... especially when these suit shades can hardly even be considered "colors!" I guess there's no use complaining -- the man still looks good, no matter how much variation he seems to lack. Personally, I enjoy him most in his wide-open bathrobe in Fight Club.

ANNA JAGODZINSKA WITH ONLY GLASSES

Oh, good! The naughty teacher look is back (with the help of Tom Ford’s glasses). It looks like sexy and smart is selling again, and we couldn’t be happier about it.

We’ve got the stunning first image from Tom Ford’s glasses campaign featuring Anna Jagodzinska.

This shot has Anna sporting Catwoman-esque glasses and Amazon-woman-esque hair (that’s about all that she’s sporting). Who needs a dress with eye wear like this?

We love the wild librarian look, and Anna really sells it. We’re looking forward to seeing more - without having to squint!

SUNGLASSES WITH STYLE

We all have personal sunglass preferences. Some of us wear aviators, some Wayfarers, and some (like me) tend towards the big Jackie O glasses. But now it seems your preference for glasses can also be reflected in your preference for drink, as Deussen has created recipes for these three iconic eyeglass styles.

From the lady who loves her Jackie O glasses there’s the Strawberries & Lavender Sapphire Collins. For the Wayfarer wearer, there’s the Lucid Wormwood Flip, and for the aviator wearers, the Flor de Caña’s Papa Doble Cocktail. So kick back with a lively libation this summer while shielding your eyes from the sun in style.

PROTECT YOUR EYES

Like we were telling you a day or two back that sunglasses are intrinsic to our fashion lifestyles today because they provide us with safety and privacy. Don’t worry, we haven’t changed our minds. In fact, we have a new product related to the function of a pair of shades, except the privacy bit. Well, we cannot really ignore the possibility of you going to play or even watch a soccer or baseball game, and you don’t really know what might come at you to break your expensive goggles when emotions run high on the field.

This is a set of concept contact lenses that perform the function of sunglasses. A very safe and wise option, these lenses give you the protection that you need without having any worries of breaking them or even losing them.

The lenses are available in colors of green, yellow, red and grey give you the fashion variety your eyes so crave for! So go ahead and try this real trendy treat but yeah, like we said, the privacy quotient might not be to high. But then that’s not our agenda all the time, is it!?

SUNGLASSES WITH SINGLE LENS

Martin Margiela has just revealed an interestingly unique pair of eyewear for Fall/Winter 2009 that has only one lens spread across both eyes.

The Single Lens Sunglasses are available in two shades but definitely take the right kind of person to pull off these bad boys.

Oddly enough, these unusual sunglasses remind me of space age aliens in futuristic rocket ships—or perhaps this is a sign that I have been watching too many sci-fi movies.
