New Fashion Trends for The Fall-Winter 2010-2011 with J. Crew

One of the best solutions concerning smart shopping is to invest in key pieces that don’t ever go out of fashion. Another idea is to buy pieces that can be worn throughout the seasons, all year round. If you’re shopping with J. Crew, you might just find whatever it is that you’re looking for.

Take the striped top, for example. It was a hit this summer, especially in red and navy blue; you can still wear it this season – though the colors have become slightly more autumnal – with a pair of pants and a nice blazer. Shorts, on the other hand, helped you escape the heat in summer, but keep you warm in fall and winter, paired with opaque tights and a sweater. Whatever you wore this summer, can be layered up this season.

Cardigans are very helpful and they look amazing when belted. A marked waist is very feminine and it underlines the figure. The same goes for coats, which follow the body nicely. J. Crew uses cashmere, a precious texture that makes you feel spoiled. Blazers come in a variety of shapes and fabrics – velvet and tweed, school uniform or boyfriend style, and so on. A slight animal print in brown tones is edgy, yet not too much.
There is no reason to stop wearing dresses in winter, and a mustard dress is sure to become the center of attention. When it comes to skirts, the tulip-shaped ones from the J. Crew catalog look really good, especially when paired with heeled oxfords or booties.
