eSpire: New Trendy Electric Bike (eBike) From Third Element


One of the foremost names in the field of high end e-bikes, Third Element, has now come out with perhaps their best creation till date, in the form of the all new eSpire, that can only be driven manually like a conventional bike with paddles, but can also be driven like a electric motorcycle. Third Element, located in Munich, Germany, has designed this incredible ebike to be 100% functional and reliable both on and off the road.

eSpire comes with a body frame that resembles that of a mountain bike, thus allowing the vehicle cruise through the wilderness without damaging any critical parts. The eSpire electric bike is powered by a removable 820 Wh Li-ion battery, that provides sufficient power to the bike’s BLDC 1.2kW/48V electric motor, churning out 150nm of torque and allowing the vehicle to have an impressive range of 56 miles using pedal assist and 40 miles when driven solely on battery power. The lithium ion battery of eSpire gets charged in just three hours and the battery pack is quite durable with up to 1,500 charges, before being need to be replaced. The eSpire electric bike is currently available in two variants, where in the first being a street legal version, that has a top speed of 28 mph and the other variant being an off road version, with a top speed of 40 mph.


eSpire’s body frame is fabricated from tubular aluminum and the bike has been given sturdy and quite reliable shock absorbers from Marzocchi, along with a Rohloff 14-speed internal gear system. The eSpire is available commercially only in Germany with a price tag of $9,750.
