Can you believe it that Naomi Campbell has completed 25 years of her career! In any case the achievement calls for celebration. And the Italian fashion design duo Dolce & Gabbana has decided to do just that. They are celebrating the 25th anniversary of Naomi Campbell’s career with a limited edition t-shirt collection and launch event. There are 14 designs in the collection and all the designs display iconic images of the supermodel.
These images and the photographs were taken by some of the best photographers in the industry. There are photographs by Patrick Demarchelier, Steven Klein, David LaChapelle, Mario Testino, Ellen Von Unwerth, Bruce Weber, Steven Meisel, Herb Ritts and Peter Lindberg. The limited edition celebration collection of 14 t-shirts will go on sale exclusively at the D&G boutiques in New York on September 10. It will move to major cities like London, Paris, Milan, Moscow, Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai through the fall.
The proceeds of the sale of this collection will go to the charity founded by Campbell, Fashion for Relief. On September 10 D&G will host an exclusive launch party for the anniversary initiative in New York. They said that we are lucky and honored to know the real person behind the image and are therefore extremely happy to celebrate this anniversary with her.
