The eROCKIT is an electric motorcycle that you pedal. It uses a 50× force multiplication system meaning that while you keep pedaling it, the 8kW/75Nm electric motor and Li-ion nanophosphate battery will do the rest. If you want to go faster, pedal harder. If you want to stop, pull on the brakes and the regenerative braking system will turn your go into whoa. It’s quiet and simple and is registrable as a motorbike.
It can do 80km/h and has a range of 60-80 km on a charge. The batteries will recharge in 3 to 4 hours. The good news is the price of the 2nd generation eROCKIT has been reduced by more than half, the bad news is the price is still US$18,200 (€12,460).
The eROCKIT bridges the gap between the regular two wheeler categories. On one side the muscle-powered two wheelers, on the other side, the motorcycles. The eROCKIT concept requires a continuous muscle deployment from the rider. The vehicle’s electronic system multiplies this muscle power and deploys it as vehicle propulsion.
