It has been the kind of day where nothing concrete in the world of cellphones has happened other than some release date commitments being made. Adding to the prevalent trend today is the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 release commitment. The word on the street is that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 which was caught on camera a month ago will be officially announced in a week’s time at a Sony Ericsson Press Event. The phone does hold a lot of promise with speculated features like an 8.1 MP camera, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a 3.5-inch OLED Screen. Some say that it will also have an embedded accelerometer, aGPS and will run on Windows Mobile 6.5. We will be scanning the web to the last pages next week to know whether this news has an element of truth or not. Just in case if we return disappointed, I promise this will get the coldest coverage here on CB because we’ve already had teasing beyond patience. Refresh your memory with the video after the jump.
