Good news on this Christmas for owners of the Google Nexus One. According to a Twitter post last night; Google Nexus Team reconfirmed the availability of Gingerbread very soon, in fact "in the coming weeks." In their tweet Google Nexus Team didn't provide any specific information about the actual availability date, but owners of the Google Nexus One can at least be relieved that it is in fact coming to the device sooner rather than later.
Gingerbread possesses quite a few updates over Android 2.2 Froyo (current OS for Google Nexus One). The updated operating system features an improved user interface (UI), internet calling with the help of SIP, the ability to switch over to voice mode to fix text errors, and more.
If you don’t want to wait for the updates coming to your loved device and willing to spend some money for the new Gingerbread powered Google Nexus S smartphone; then you got a good news that Best Buy is currently selling the Gingerbread-equipped Google Nexus S smartphone to T-Mobile customers. In addition, the Nexus S features a 4-inch display, 5-megapixel camera, and a 1GHz Hummingbird processor.
