Orbita Voyager One: Programmable Watchwinder From Orbita - - Will Not Let Your Expensive Watch Die

You know that self-winding, ultra-expensive, spring balance-oscillator regulated chronometer that you’ve got on your wrist? Well, it only winds itself if it’s strapped to you, leave it in a case for a few weeks and it will stop dead. So how do you show off your nifty watches and keeping them ticking along without having to wear a different watch every day? With a Watchwinder of course. Orbita make a whole range of watchwinders including the Orbita Voyager One below.

All the watchwinders are specifically designed not to overwind your watch and the Voyager One is programmable to wind between 800 and 1300 turns per day. Orbita make every variation you can think of (warning pdf), including hidden winder storage cabinets and multiple watch display cases. The Voyager One will set you back US$297.99 and it needs four AAA batteries or AC power.

Orbita’s travel watch winder, the Voyager, is a programmable travel winder with two components. The first is the drive unit that employs a Swiss micro-motor hidden within one of two stainless steel support rollers. The rollers are mounted on the round black pedestal base which is also the battery holder. The second a unique plastic-lined stainless steel cylinder which serves both as a watch holder and a rotating cylinder, and provides protection from rough handling as you travel.
