As per the auction rules, the highest bidder will become the proud owner of this incredible mark of history and along with the flying plane, the winner be also be acquiring all the detailed documentation for the car. This includes the original patent filed by Mr. Skroback in the year 1921 along with papers that attribute to the pitch made by the inventor to put the flying car into commercial markets. With the all the fanfare and excitement attached to the proposed auction, a concrete fact remains that, there is absolutely no record available indicating that, the flying car ever actually took to the skies.
In a similar auction, a Taylor Aerocar was auctioned off more than a year ago and the major difference between both these cars being, that the latter one did in fact successfully made a flight. The flying car from Fred Skroback looks more like a giant fuselage bolted to a pair of landing gear and by many standards, it does not entice the feeling or ever making it to the skies. Then entire structure is 21 feet long and each of the wings of the flying car has a has a wingspan of 7 feet.
