The latest company to launch a netbook is Pioneer, with the launch of the DreamBook Lite netbook. The Pioneer DreamBook Lite will feature a 12.1 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.
Processing comes in the form of either and Intel Atom N450 1.66GHz processor or an Intel Atom N470 1.83GHz processor, and there is 2GB of DDR2 RAM.
Other specifications include NVIDIA’s ION 2 platform with an NVIDIA GT219 graphics chip, with 521MB of VRAM, there are no details on what storage options the DreamBook Lite will feature.
It will also come with HDMI out, Bluetooth and a SIM card slot for a 3G connection, plus a 1.3 megapixel camera, and a battery life of up to ten hours.
The Pioneer DreamBook Lite will come with a choice of Windows 7 or Ubuntu 9.10, it is expected to retail for around $400 there are no details on when it will hit the stores as yet.
