“Nexus One”: The Much Awaited Google Phone Turning into Reality - - Powered By The Lateset Version of Google Android 2.1

The holy grail of mobile phones which is now considered to be the ever mysterious Google Phone is slow unraveling as the internet search industry behemoth has given out test version of the highly awaited Google Phone to its employees in an effort to gain valuable user feedback and refine the device even further before launching it in 2010.

The launch of the Google Phone will be unlike other high profile smart phones because, Google has decided to launch the all new device via its own website, numerous retailers and via T-Mobile wireless carrier in the United States. In the U.S the cell phones are traditionally tethered to wireless carriers, that subsidize the cost of the handsets and the users have to enter in manipulative contracts to acquire the handset and the services of the carriers.

However, Google intends to introduce the its all new handset as an unlocked GSM device that will make the acquisition of the Google Phone for the consumers, that much easier. The phone is expected to be manufactured by HTC,an established handset manufacturer, but the specifics of the phone will be entirely dominated to by Google, with phone carrying the brand logo of Google on it.

The all Google Phone will be released under the name, “Nexus One” and will be powered by the latest version of Google mobile operating system, Google Android 2.1.
