New iPhone App Launched by The Guardian Newspaper - - Lets Users Read Content From Their Website And Newspaper

The Guardian newspaper in the UK has launched an iPhone app, which lets users read content from their website and newspaper and it comes with a range of features.

The Guardian are charging iPhone users £2.39 for the application, although users of their website are able to get the same content for free.

Jonathon Moore, Mobile Product Manager, Guardian News & Media, said: “We’ve worked hard to create an app that offers our growing digital audience a wonderful new way to reach and interact with the Guardian on their iPhone and iPod touch, and we’re proud to introduce an important new addition to our digital portfolio. Key themes in the development were speed, customization, a great design and ease of navigation, and we believe we’ve created the world’s best content-based experience, in your pocket, wherever you are.”

The application has a range of features which include an offiline browsing mode that lets you save articles and read them later, access to picture galleries and podcasts, plus a built in trending feature which will let users read the most popular stories.

The Guardian have also stated that they are working on applications for other platforms which will include Google Android.
