LONDON - Alexandra Burke’s hit track ‘Bad Boys’ has beat Robbie William’s ‘Bodies’ to be named the fastest-selling single of 2009.
The track, featuring US rapper Flo Rida, saw a massive 187,100 copies being sold this week topping the charts and overtaking Williams’s song, which sold 89,238 copies.
However, Alexandra believes that she owes the success to meeting the man she beat when they both sang on X Factor last week.
“I’m blown away by the success of the single, I’m one very happy girl today. Robbie was absolutely lovely when we met in rehearsal,” the Sun quoted her as saying.
“He’s seen it all and gave me some great advice. Next time I’m in LA I’d love to meet up with him, hang out, be friends and maybe one day perform together.”
Alexandra performed at G-A-Y in London to celebrate her success.
