Studio Verissimo has unveiled furniture that is made of plastic spoons. The idea has been to dispose off pieces of plastic which otherwise takes millions of years to decompose. Since the discarded spoons can be used as pieces of furniture, there is no need to worry about either environmental hazards or a safe way to dispose the plastic waste.
Now, it is not possible to build furniture pieces with all the waste plastic available and the tables, chairs etc designed by Studio Verissimo are just an example for letting people know that there are many innovative methods to get rid of plastic without actually worrying too much about the whole issue.
The collection called The Spoon Collection is an amazing work of art, and a great way to educate people about plastic dumping and its effects on the environment. I especially like the table for it not only looks stylish, it also looks like a high-end furniture piece which one might be able to pick up from a European boutique.
