SOLAR FOREST

The human race moving on electric vehicles is a pretty green sight but is it really enough to overcome the the delicate balance achieved by our dwindling forests? And that’s where enter designer Neville Mars who has thought of a novel way to combat the threats of deforestations. His is an incredible EV charging station called the Solar Forest that functions like an evergreen glade of solar trees. Believe it or not, but this invention actually has a photovoltaic grove that works as a source for clean renewable energy as well as a shade spot for cars to be parked as they get charged.

We are informed that every single tree part of the Solar Forest has been made from a collection of photovoltaic leaves mounted on a branching poll. At the base of these trees is really a power outlet that will be ready to juice up your eco-rides.

As per Neville, the tree design wasn’t a planned idea. It happened while trying to maximize the shaded surface of the original structure. Some were concerned about the efficiency of overlapping photovoltaic panels but the designer clarified that the leaves rotate with the sun in such a way that maximum effiiency is achieved. It is an aesthetic step that not only keeps your car from baking in the sun but also offers renewable power whenever needed.
