Fans of unadulterated exotic cars, shield your eyes: A Lamborghini Gallardo hybrid is slated to be released in 2015. Notice that I said hybrid and not all-electric—the electric motor will only propel the Lamborghini hybrid at low speeds, similar to what the Toyota Prius does in city traffic. At higher speeds, all you’ll feel is the Lambo engine you know and love.
We’ve seen an attempt to reconcile the largely dueling interests of classic supercar fans and pragmatic green drivers. This Lamborghini Gallardo hybrid will join the Tesla Roadster in an amalgam of these ideals. Check out some other fast eco cars below.
