Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin declared himself a “Gay” in May 2010. The news was a shock for the fans of pop sensation; but he's no longer Livin' La Vida Loca -- in fact, Ricky Martin is very happy with who he is, and how it's helping others.
Few days back the 39-year-old released his first album as an openly homosexual pop star; nearly a year after ending years of speculation about his sexuality by telling the world he was a "fortunate gay man".
According to BBC reports; Ricky Martin is chosen by Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (Glaad) to receive an award from a leading US gay and lesbian organization after coming out as gay.
The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (Glaad) gives the Vito Russo Award to openly gay entertainers who promote equal rights.
