The Dutch yacht manufacturers, Heesen, have been working very hard on their 47-metre steel hull series and have added another one, called “Air” to this ever growing range. Infact this will be the sixth hull in the luxury steel hull series. Heesen’s in-house team collaborated with Omega Architects, who worked out the interiors of the yacht, which is based on a playful contemporary theme combining black and white, with splashes of color in between.
As far as the technical characteristics are concerned, they are similar to the rest of the yachts in this series. It has twin MTU 20V 4000 M93L marine diesels capable of attaining speeds around 15.5 knots. A slower cruising speed of 10 knots ensures a respectable continuous range of over 4,000 nautical miles. There are five cabins, one for the master and the rest for guests. All the rooms are very comfortable with twin and double bed arrangements that can be adjusted according to the requirement.
This series started in 2004 with a yacht called “Yalla”. And “Air” will definitely not be the last in this 47-metre steel hull series as there are already three similar yachts under various stages of production at Heesen’s Dutch facilities.
