A record of 155mph, previously the highest, set by an Italian team last year was broken by a French Aviation company. Cri-Cri all-electric plane touches the speed of 162 mph and breaking the previous record, just by using 75 % of its total power provided by its two electric motors generating 35-horsepower.
The team stated that at full power the airplane, Cri-Cri made by The plane made by Electravia, could have managed to hit a speed of about 220mph but the airframe of the aircraft is not designed to exceed 160mph. The aircraft was fitted with custom propellers and sleek motor cowlings that helped minimize drag.
