Akshay Kumar-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer “Action Replayy” has hit theaters yesterday.
The film also casts Randhir Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Om Puri, Kirron Kher, Ranvijay Singh, Sudeepa Singh and Rajpal Yadav to spice up the romantic comedy.
Directed by Vipul Shah, the film is based on the 70’s era. This Rs 40 crore project has been released in more than 1,800 screens in India and abroad. “Action Replayy” has been inspired by Robert Zememkis’ 1985 film, “Back To The Future”.
The film lacks drama and genuine humour and is mind-numbingly dull as there is no plot progresssion or conflict. Its dialogues are clunky, performances are indifferent and the music is unimpressive.
“Action Replayy” deals with a time machine which takes the story back to forth and from the present time to 1965. In the film Akki and Ash play the role of a quarrelsome couple.
Their son is of the believe that his life would have been far better if his parents had a love marriage rather than an arranged one. As a result he plans to bring love in his parents life and for which he takes the aid of a time machine.
