Unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show 2010 (CES), the X300 Netbook from LG Electronics has now finally been announced with a launch window, wherein the ultra-sleek notebook will be available for purchase in South America, Asia and the Middle East from this month onwards. The X300 netbook made headlines at the CES 2010 and made its mark on the netbooks running Microsoft Windows 7 operating system.
The all new LG X300 Netbook weighs at just 970 gms and is measured at just 17.5 mm in thickness, thus making the machines one of the most lightweight and ultra portable netbooks available in the markets. This awesome netbook will be launched in two colors, shiny white and light brown an d will feature an 11.6 inch LCD display, along with borderless touchpad.
The X300 is powered by a 2.0 GHz Intel Menlow processor and is equally complimented by 2GB RAM and a 128 GB SSD (Solid State Drive). Furthermore, the LG X300 netbook will be running Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition and the machine will come with an extra 2-cell battery, thereby providing the users with up to seven hours of uninterrupted usage. This netbook is also said to be extremely quite during operations, because of its fanless design and is embedded with the LG Smart Pack, a software that enables the most basic computer users to operate the X300 effortlessly.

As far as accessories are concerned, the LG X300 Netbook comes packed with a 1.3-megapixel webcam with a You-Cam viewer and the device has been given the potential to access a wide variety of networks such as GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, or HSDPA. Sadly, one of the crucial components of the modern mobile computing phenomenon, that has been revolutionized by wifi, is missing from the netbook. As per LG, the prices for the LG X300 Netbook will differ from region to region and thus will be announced at a later stage.
