Mariano Fajgelbaum is a designer from the city of Buenos Aires in Argentina. He recently sent us his latest design which concerns a self sustaining catamaran. The 22 meter long catamaran is eco-friendly and uses the power of sea, wind and sun in order to run and keep the engines active.
When the engine of the catamaran is not running, one could use the solar panels to make use of the solar energy and save it for a rainy day. The sub aquatic 180" telescopic turbine accumulates the water current power and could be used during the night when there is no sun. Using the Eolic Turbine, one could use air drafts to supply more energy that might be required. All the energy could be stored in 116 batteries inside the hulls.
The catamaran itself is well designed and comes with large rooms and spacious interiors.
The Catamaran has not been given a name yet and is just a concept but it could serve as an inspiration to boat manufacturers so that they release boats that are self sustainable and eco friendly.
This was created when Mariano was working in Studio Ustatic in Buenos Aires.
