Barky is a working LP turntable made from a gen-u-wine authentic slice of tree, complete with bark. The platter is a solid piece of glass for stability and the whole thing rests on three height-adjustable legs. Why? Dunno, but it looks pretty darn cool. It’s part of a catalogue of wood-based turntables turned out by a bloke called Joel Scilley and his company AudioWood. Check out the catalogue too. The Barky will set you back about US$1350.
A pitch-perfect piece of nature, this smooth slice of ashwood is outfitted with a Premotech motor and a Rega tonearm, a weighty glass platter and adjustable spike legs.
