"Africa": A Netbook With a Difference - - Get Everything in $99 (US Dollar 99)

Here is good news for those who have been craving for a cheap netbook! Cherrypal, as many of you may be already aware that they specialize in selling cheap computers has come up with their latest product called “Africa”, a netbook with a difference. The Africa is a 7 inch petite netbook and comes with average features. They include a 400 MHz processor, 256 MB of RAM, a 2GB flash memory, and runs either a Linux OS or Windows CE. The best feature that Africa comes with is its price tag.

Africa is available for sell at just $99 (USD). Besides, Africa also comes with an Ethernet port, 1 USB 2.0 port, 2 USB 1.1 ports, and an SD/MMC card slot. Most interestingly, Africa can also handle Wi-Fi although it’s only IEEE 802.11 g. According to Cherrypal, Africa’s battery lasts up to 4 hours in between charges. Although the features are fairly average, Africa still does sound attractive.

However, it will be wise to do a thorough background checking before you place an order of Africa from Cherrypal’s online store. Apparently, Ars Technica Commenter IHATENAMES claimed that Cherrypal failed to deliver their order. It is not yet certain if the problem has been resolved or not. Well, Cherrypal also sells Apple computers especially the 17 inch MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air at much discounted prices.
