At the moment you can already watch TV programmes on your iPhone using the BBC iPlayer service from their website in Safari, it looks like the BBC are in the process of developing an iPhone App which will bring a range of new BBC iPlayer services to the iPhone.
The new BBC iPlayer App may feature a download option, which would let you download your favourite TV show direct to your iPhone and then you would be able to watch it whenever you like.
Other features include the ability to watch live TV, the BBC haven’t officially released any details as yet, on when the application will be available.
