Designed by Alex Thusbass and Lutz Kucher, the WINORA town:exp is a 20-inch E-Bike, which is made for the urban environment and according to the requirements of young and trend affine users. The bike combines the agility and compactness of a 20-inch compact bike with the comfortable upright riding position of a 28-inch one. The stiffness of the mono tube frame gives you a safe and controlled ride.
The WINORA town:exp is powered by a TransX PST system with a 250W electric motor, integrated in the rear hub, a 11Ah Lithium-Polymer battery, which is placed in the waterproof and lockable battery case at the rear of the bike. The battery can be easily taken out for recharging back at home.
Other features include Shimano DEORE 9-gear shifting, Tektro AurigaE hydraulic disc brakes, head shock suspension system with 35mm travel, five spoke 20” die cast rims and no fast locks to prevent your town:exp from component theft.
The styling of the town:exp is reduced, dynamic and extremely flexible, so that it can be tailored to different target groups by color, trim & graphics. In future, there will be a huge accessory programming, including cup holder, holder for iPod, cell phones or navigation systems as well as bags, cases and fixings for kids’ seats.
The town:exp will be made available in 4 colors - white/cyan, black/orange, sand/lime and orange/white. The introduction retail price is €1999 and the regular price will be €2199. The shipment will start at the beginning of 2010 and will be available at German bike stores and at various online stores.
