Fletcher Priest’s New Design Got Final Approval to Grace London’s Skyline With Roof-Top Gardens

Fletcher Priest has got the final approval from the City of London to plan a new 21,370-square-meter office building for the Monteverde Group. The new building is designed to replace an outdated structure and reconnect the existing streets, passages and outdoor spaces.

The new architecture will double the public space and create stunning rooftop gardens that will grace the city’s skyline. The design will also optimize wall-to-wall depths to enhance daylight penetration. South facing balconies are cantilevered to protect the interiors for solar gain overlooking the new plaza below.

The new building will also utilize about 50% of the material from the existing structure. Recycled glass facades with a distinctive green tint will contrast with clear transparency of the low iron windows. The eco-conscious strategies will exceed energy saving requirements by as much as 40%.
