Donald Kaufman Sale II - - For the Lovers of The Finest Toys

For those who missed the Donald Kaufman March auction, which featured a 7,000-piece toy collection from the legendary Donald Kaufman, co-founder of K-B Toys, now is your chance to own the priced pieces from the collection. Bertoria Auctions has slated Donald Kaufman Sale II for Sept. 25-26, 2009 in Vineland, N.J., at auction house Bertoia. This lifetime collection invites the aficionados to browse and own a collection of finest toys ever made. The collection includes more than 1,100 rare collectibles from pedal cars; biscuit tins, postwar Japanese cars to prewar Japanese airplanes. Featured here is a Gordon Bennet-style race car which is estimated to sell for $10,000 - $12,000. The highlights of the auction includes a rare Mickey and Minnie Mouse on Motorcycle from early 1930s, estimated to shell in $40,000-$50,000 and a Circa-1930s Hubley Flower Shoppe Indian motorcycle estimated to go for $35,000-$45,000 (featured in the Gallery). Bertoia Auctions has high expectations for the sale especially after the successful first auction that was a hit even in the current financial scenario. “I think antique toy money has already corrected itself and people have saved,” says Rich Bertoia.
