TELOK BLANGAH HIIL PARK, SINGAPORE

The national park of any country aspires to show the wealth and beauty of the flora and fauna of that abundant and perhaps exclusive to that region. The protection of different species of wildlife and flora has been accomplished by these parks as well. Most humans, however, remain ignorant of the beauty that nature offers and it is up to these parks to ignite interest and awe in individuals.

The Telok Blangah Hill park of Singapore accomplishes this with ease. The park is not just home to a number of different species of flora and fauna but also features an intricate maze of flyover-like paths that pose the possibility for thousands of individuals to easily manoeuvre themselves through the forest. The height of these paths, at times level with the treetops, also makes for an amazing view and gives visitors the feeling that they are taking a leisurely stroll through the clouds.

These paths standing on their long legs criss-cross their way through the entire park making it easy for visitors to get some close encounters with the wildlife as well. If it were not for these amazing man-made paths, most individuals used to the city roads would find it extremely difficult to make their way through the park and would most probably keep their distance from it. The park is a perfect example of how man-made structures can complement the beauty of nature.
