Ultra-long memory, ultra sensitive microphone, ultra useful features, ultra sleek – that’s the DM-520 – one of the latest gadgets from Olympus.
The DM-520 is a digital audio recorder sized to be kept in your pocket. It provides more than a thousand hours of recording because of its built-in 4GB internal memory, with microSD card compatibility that extends it to 512MB-16GB. Record and play back in MP3, WMA, and PCM formats with a quality as good as its operation is easy. This provides users with extreme flexibility, enabling them to use one device for recording meetings and lectures for work or school, while also enjoying music afterwards for fun.
The DM-520 will also allow you to edit your files with the Sonority sound editing software [compatible with PCs and MACs] that Olympus includes to create the kinds of files you really need. And with the DM-520’s super-long-life battery, which can be charged when you hook the recorder up to your PC through the USB port, you can have up to 51 hours of recording. There’s also a voice guide system that ensures seamless, user-friendly operation of all functions in the menu and an optional tie-clip microphone. Built-in VCVA or Variable Control Voice Actuator is another hands-free function that adds ease and practicality.
The DM-520, along with the DM-420 will be available this September with an estimated retail price of $199.99.
