
Canada’s Rogers Wireless will be launching the Nokia 6790 Surge Smartphone in the near future. The Nokia 6790 was launched recently in the US via AT&T. Rogers will offer the Nokia 6790 to their subscribers for $89.99 provided they sign a 3 year contract. Customers will also have the option to pay the full retail price of $279.99 if they wish to avoid signing a service contract. In comparison AT&T offers the Surge for $79.99 with a two year contract.
The Nokia smartphone features a 2.4 inch QVGA display, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 2 megapixel camera, 2.5 mm headset jack, Bluetooth 2.0 capabilities, micro SD memory card slot and GPS support.
