Who says that machines are bad in forming connections? Obviously, they haven’t seen Hawking Technologies’ HU2P4 Easy-Link Data Sharing Hub yet. This device basically allows two computers to easily share and transfer their files using the USB cable and ports without any driver or other software installation.
The Easy-Link Data Sharing Hub is a quick and easy Plug and Play networking solution that eliminates the need for complex network setting up procedure, wiring and data cables. As one of the industry leading developers of networking solutions, Hawking Technologies went up a notch by adding a three port USB Hub at the middle of the cable, hence the product name Sharing “Hub”. It is also very easy to use; just connect two computers via USB port using the HU2P4. The integrated pre-installed file exchange software will then display a two panel window interface allowing access to contents of both PC. From there, users can drag and drop to exchange files between the two PC at transfer rates up to 480 Mbps.
The USB hub is used to access other USB devices and peripherals like printers, webcams, and external hard disk and flash drives. There are some limitations on the device though, first is that it is only available for Windows 2000, XP and Vista. Second is that the devices attached to the USB hub are only accessible by one of the two connected computers.
