Casio has added two digital cameras to its Exilim Zoom line. The new cameras, models EX-Z280 and EX-Z33 are priced at $180 and $120 respectively and are targeted for the beginner photographer looking for an entry level camera.
The EX-Z280 includes an Exilim Engine 4 processor that is said to improve battery life as well as offer better image quality. The point and shoot camera includes 12.1MP resolution, 720p HD video recording and a 26-104mm equivalent wide angle camera lens with 4x zoom.
The other model announced was the EX-Z33 which does not include the new Exilim Engine 4 processor and as a result records video in 854×480 widescreen resolution. The sensor has also been dropped on this digital camera from 12.1MP to 10MP.
Both Casio cameras will ship this September.
