One of the many reasons people don’t use their bikes on a daily basis is that uphill ride back home or to the office. Electric-assist bikes can help you maneuver the terrain with ease, but recharging your bike’s batteries from a conventional wall socket isn’t always a green job. Industrial designer Chen Chun Tung has done something brilliant in solving the problems of most bike riders with a new concept bike known as Wind-Solar Energy Bike.
The bike is designed to harnesses various types of renewable energies that includes – solar energy, wind energy and human energy, which is then converted into electricity that recharges the bikes built-in battery pack. The battery is then used to assist the ride when the user is maneuvering an uphill terrain or is simply exhausted after a tough day at work.
