
Taiwan-based company called Young Fast Optoelectronics which will soon (end of 2009) releasing an awesome analog matrix resistive (AMR) multi-touch panels for netbook and other electronics.
"The company’s touch panel shipments, including capacitive models and frameless resistive models, reached 12 million units in the second quarter of this year with shipments mainly for handset applications. Capacity models accounted for about 4% of its total shipments in the second quarter and will increase slightly to 5% in the second half of 2009," Lin said.
With this kind of multi-touch panels, it seems the future releases of netbook will be most of them a touchscreen gadget. Until now, There are total of nine multi-touch panel suppliers have received Windows 7 Logo certification, this include Wacom and Fujitsu. Let’s see how the performance is when it has become available.
