Sony has added a new netbook to its range with the launch of the Sony Vaio W netbook, which is designed to be more environmentally friendly than previous models.
The casing on the Vaio W is made for 23% recycled CDs, and the carry case that comes with it is also made from recycled PET bottles.
The Sony Vaio W comes with a 10.1 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768, and it comes with a 250GB hard drive, plus a choice of various Intel Atom processors from the Atom N280 to the latest model, the Intel Atom N450.
Other features include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, a multi format card reader, and 1GB of RAM, Windows 7 starter edition and a high capacity battery with up to seven hours of usage.
Prices start at $449 up to $599, and it is available to pre-order from Sony.
