At this point, the Opera series of web browsers may not hold a candle to giants like Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, but it does hold a tight collection of loyal followers. Opera fans will love what they’ll get with Opera 10, which comes with the much-hyped Turbo function.
Opera 10 Turbo function lets users load web pages more quickly even when their Internet connections slow down, such as on sluggish Wi-Fi or 3G networks. But, even with the Turbo off, users will notice Opera to be a pretty fast browser, much like how Google Chrome was when it first came out.
Opera 10 still has its useful “speed dial” feature, which Opera fans have come to know and love. Another new feature should make a few waves in the web browser scene – resizable tabs, which also show thumbnails of their sites. This feature is sure to be copied by other browsers in the near future.
Sleek, quick Opera may not have the massive followings of other web browsers, but it’s doing its share in bringing new, tasty features to the table. If you’re unhappy with your browser’s functionality or if you do most of your work on the go, then Opera 10 is worth a try – you might like the Turbo function so much you won’t survive without it.
