'Portavilion': An Inflatable Structure With Air-filled Transparent Membrane - - Created by German Architecture Firm Raumlabor-Berlin

Portavilion, as is suggested by the name, is a portable pavilion that will serve as a mobile event space for 15 parks and green spaces in London between May and September. Created by German Architecture firm Raumlabor-Berlin, Portavilion is an inflatable structure with air-filled transparent membrane, which can be transported to different sites on a van attached to it.

Architects say…

This translucent bubble can squeeze under bridges, wrap around trees or nestle into corners, providing a nomadic, inside/outside space in which people can perform debate, eat or simply hang out.

You would see this pavilion hosting a number of events, including some productions by the English National Ballet, the London Festival of Architecture, the Tate Modern and the Royal Society of Arts.
