iPad, HP Slate Products of Tablet PC Era - - Brings Many Rivals Face to Face

The launch of the highly revered Apple iPad tablet device isn’t the end of the tablet era, as many perceive it to be. In fact this device has now led to a race against the clock for other companies who now seem to be focused on a single goal of creating their own tablet devices and in turn provide stark competitors to the iPad.

We already know of a tablet device in the works from Hewlett Packard (HP) called, HP Slate and recently it was discovered that, even mobile manufacturer, Nokia had conjured up plans for a tablet device. So, it safe to say that, we could be witnessing a tablet battle in the coming months, on top of which is expected to the be the Internet search giant, Google Inc. that is now known to be working on a tablet device of its own. The point in case being that, even though HP Slate could be considered to be a decent competitor to the iPad and the other companies might also try to put up a fight, yet all eyes would definitely by on Google, as the company is known to have a fierce rivalry with Apple Inc. and this unprecedented competition between the two could manifest itself in a mind blowing tablet from Google.

So, what do we know so far about the speculated Google tablet? Well, for starters Google CEO, Eric Schimdt slipped a little info about the new device during a party and stated that, it would be running on Google Android OS. The Android factor is something that, can’t be considered a breaking news, because of Google’s known affinity with the mobile platform. However, the fact remains that out of every other company is the tablet race, Google is by far the most qualified to attain the maximum amount of success and exposure, simply because this company has a long standing tendency of thinking outside the box, same as Apple Inc.
