"VIERA VT" First 3D Plasma HDTV From Panasonic - - With Four HDMI Ports, Component, VGA And An Ethernet Port


Panasonic has taken the wraps of their first 3D Plasma HDTV, the Panasonic VIERA VT. The VIERA VT will be available in two different sizes, a 50 inch model and a 54 inch model.

These new 3D Plasma HDTV’s features a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 and they have a digital and an analogue tuner built in, plus a 2.1 channel 20w speaker system.

Other features include four HDMI ports, component, VGA and an Ethernet port. Both models in the range will come with 3D active shutter glasses which us batteries to quickly block out each of the lenses alternatively.

The Panasonic VIERA VT 3D Plasma HDTV’s will go on sale in Japan in April, with the 54 inch model retailing for $5,900 and the 50 inch model retailing for $4,800.

There are no details as yet on when we are likely to see them arrive in the US and Europe.
