MTV Reality Series "Super Psycho Sweet Sixteen" - - New Hot Search on nternet and in Cyberworld

Super Psycho Sweet Sixteen is a hot search on the internet. For the last twenty four hours it has topped the charts of popularity in the cyberworld. Many people like me are wondering over it. But they too have no idea about it.

My Super Psycho Sweet Sixteen is an MTV reality series documenting the lives of teenagers, usually in the United States and UK, who usually have wealthy parents that throw huge coming of age celebrations.

Parties include the quinceaera, the sweet 16, and other birthdays including a My Super Sweet 21 (which was broadcast during MTV’s Spring Break party) and My Super Swag 18.

My Super Psycho Sweet 16 marks the first premiere from the new slate of original movies produced by MTV and is the network’s first foray into the horror genre. The film is about the story of Madison Penrose (Juliana Guill), a spoiled and beautiful high school queen bee, and Skye Rotter (Lauren McKnight), the class outcast whose father Charlie Rotter committed a series of grisly murders a decade before the movie’s events. Madison’s plans for the ultimate birthday bash are ruined when Skye shows up to get closer to Madison’s ex-boyfriend Brigg (Chris Zylka), but things get really psycho when Charlie returns to crash the party too. My Super Psycho Sweet 16 offers the perfect blend of teen drama, sly humor, horrific thrills and eye-popping special effects.

The film stars Juliana Guill (”Friday The 13th”), Lauren Mcknight (”House of Fear”), Chris Zylka (”Cougartown”) and Matt Angel (”Raising The Bar”). The film was written by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas. Maggie Malina served as executive producer, was directed by Jacob Gentry and produced by Alexander Motlagh, both of Popfilms (”The Signal” nominated for Best First Feature Award at the 2009 Independent Spirit Awards). Chris Linn is executive in charge of production for MTV.

The show premiered on January 18, 2005. The opening theme is “Sweet Sixteen” sung by Hilary Duff.

The director of the film Jacob Gentry on an interview said

Jacob Gentry: Originally, MTV came to us with the idea of doing a horror movie based on this reality show. I was resistant and thought it was a terrible idea, but then I saw the show, My Super Sweet 16 and realized it was perfect for a horror movie. There’s not anyone that would watch that show and simultaneously be envious of those girls and want them to die. [Laughs] Even young girls that watch the show, they want to be those girls but they also hate them. And I think any good horror movie has good social satire and some central metaphor that relates to its audience. The fun factor came into it when we were developing it and I worked with the writers, Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas. Scott Thomas is a huge horror fan. It’s his favorite genre. I got really interested in the idea of following the formula of the slasher film. We didn’t want to re-invent the wheel. I’ve read enough reviews about horror movies that essentially you want to add your own sort of flavor to it, but you don’t want to veer too much, because I think that’s what makes the ones that work work is when they celebrate the formula. The best ones that I’ve seen are from the 80’s. I’d dug a little deeper for this. I really wanted to make sure I understood the form of what we were doing. So you go back to the original Prom Night and Terror Train and Happy Birthday To Me and those sort of films, and I looked at the ties that bound those films. These movies are fun, but they don’t make fun of the genre. The goal was to not do anything that spoofed or parodied or camped up the slasher movie.but to be true to it and take it seriously. There was a lot of comedy in the script and some over the top fun stuff in there, but we decided to play it for real and let that humor come through on its own. We tried to strike that balance.

The show has also covered a number of celebrity coming of age parties. Bow Wow, Sean Kingston, Aly and AJ, Chris Brown and Soulja Boy Tell Em have all had their parties featured on the show.
