Vexia Econav 435 GPS - - Your Driving Partner-cum-Navigator

The Vexia Econav 435 GPS will get you where you’re going and save you fuel along the way. Just tell it what type of car you’ve got (there over 6,000 models in the database) and how many people you’re carrying and away you go. The Econav will give you directions as well as telling you when to accelerate, suggest which gear to use and when to change for ultimate fuel economy. It won’t, however, tell you to wash your hands or to brush your teeth before bed.

The GPS bit is a 4.3″, 480 x 272 touch screen, SiRF Atlas III chipset, 2 Gb of RAM with an SDHC expansion slot and a USB connection for map updating. You can pick up an Econav 435 with either regional UK maps for £169.99 or complete European maps for £219.99. There is also a version with a 3.5″ screen called the Econav 350 with similar options.

Vexia reckon that the Econav will pay for itself in 6 months with further savings in the order of £200 in the following 6 months. It’s currently available in Spain and will be available in the UK in September and a German launch TBA soon.

The exclusive Econav technology offers a series of recommendations for driving which encourage a change of attitude in the driver. The technology integrated into the Vexia Econav GPS provides the driver with real-time instructions which help ensure good driving practices at all times, thereby resulting in more efficient driving.
