SOLAR-POWERED COOKING

A solar steam system has been built in Shridi, India at the shrine of Saint Sai Baba and is expected to serve up to 20,000 people daily using 3,500 kg of steam. That’s one giant solar cooker!

Ultimately it will save the area in Shridi money because the solar steam system will save 100,000 kg of cooking gas. Take a look at this cost effective green solar steam system design, as well as some smaller scale solar cookers above.
