This is a year of birthdays, and there are a number of automakers celebrating their anniversary this year. As things stand, its 20 years of Wiesmann, and the niche automaker is planning to build a car live at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The act will give onlookers a “showcase” to look at the building process of the car, plus they’ll get to see the “manufacturing skills and productive efficiency” of Wiesmann.
Supporting the totally cool idea are German magazine Auto Motor und Sport which will also telecast the build live on its website, and tool manufacturer Festool which is also providing the necessary tools for the build. It’s not that the build is the only cool thing Wiesmann is bringing to Frankfurt, the automaker will also unveil the roadster version of the high-performance MF5 at the show.
